In following up on last month's preview, here we get a closer look at Palace Skateboards' new book which is launching on July 20.

The Palace Book is by Palace founder Lev Tanju and photographer Alasdair McLellan, as it delves into south London skate history and how the brand became the cultural phenomenon that it is today. The publication in turn boasts 120 photographs, 7,000 words of text by Stuart Hammond, original Palace graphics, and an iron-on T-shirt transfer.

McLellan, who has previously released two other books as a testament to British youth, captured the young men on sun-drenched concrete anywhere between South Bank and St. Pauls, as many of the photos were taken well before anyone had ever even heard of Palace.

The Palace Book accounts for the fifth IDEA publication of 2016, again, launching on July 20 with a book signing at Dover Street Market, Haymarket.
