Prada’s flame-printed offerings don’t stop at bowling shirts, you know. While its flames-printed shirt has been doing the rounds recently, having been rocked by the likes of Pusha-T and Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum (not forgetting those who copped here at Highsnobiety HQ), the Italian fashion house has been releasing a lot more flame-printed heat where that came from.
From padded shirts and jackets to shorts and ties, Prada’s FW18 collection is bringing the fire. The bananas and flames print is hereby applied on a padded jacket, silk tie, and neck bow, while a floral and flames duo can be seen on the likes of a winter jacket, padded shirt, and silk tie, as well as on a pair of board shorts.
While the prints have been generously applied to the Italian fashion house’s FW18 collection, these aren’t inherently new. In fact, Prada has been trawling through its archives to repurpose some of its older and most popular print. While its Impossible True Love shirt recently received a space-age update, the bananas print was first spotted in 2010.
This move has been proved to be a good one for the fashion house, which experienced a huge peak in sales during the first half of 2018, according to Business of Fashion.
