Model: Air Jordan 11 IE “Space Jam”
Key Features: This IE version is a more summer-friendly take on the iconic silhouette, adding pockets of breathable mesh material along the sides of the shoe. This version mixes the mesh with the standard Air Jordan 11’s patent leather. The black, white, and blue colorway is borrowed from the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11.

Editor’s Notes: The Nike Air Jordan 11 IE is dropping in a Space Jam-themed colorway, mimicking the color-blocking on one of the most iconic Air Jordan 11s of all time. The sneaker is available via Nike from July 13 for $170.
The Air Jordan 11 IE was developed by Tinker Hatfield to offer players a low-top version of the Air Jordan 11. Originally, the Air Jordan 11 IE swapped out the Air Jordan 11’s patent leather for a more breathable mesh. “I felt like [patent leather] was contrary to the summer feel,” Hatfield explained. “The shoe didn’t need to feel so stiff and heavy. For the summer, I wanted something that was lighter and easier to wear.”
This new version, however, brings back the patent leather, but mixes it with the mesh for something stylish yet light.
The Nike Air Jordan 11 IE was the first Air Jordan since the Air Jordan 2 to arrive in a low-top version. It debuted in 1996 and was worn by His Airness in that season’s NBA Playoffs.
