Indiana Pacers wing Paul George has become the 21st basketball player to receive a signature shoe from Nike. Accordingly, today we get a look at George's new PG1.
Tailored to fit PG13's two-way game, the low-top silhouette was designed by Tony Hardman. The lightweight hoops sneaker in turn features a distinctive forefoot strap anchored by Flywire cable loops to provide a dynamic, contained feel, while a forefoot Zoom Air unit delivers low-profile, responsive cushioning. An overall snug fit is accomplished thanks to full-bootie construction, and multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction ultimately equates to next-level court grip.
Paul George's PG1 is debuting in a celebratory “2K” colorway, seeing as George is a cover star athlete for NBA 2K17.
Look for PG13 to don his new PG1 signature ($110 USD) for the first time on-court when his Pacers go up against the Denver Nuggets in London this Thursday, January 12.
Additional release details for the PG1 are to follow.
