Our Sneaker Rotation series continues, examining the footwear choices of SANE Communications Director Steve Monaghan.
Recently we stopped by SANE Communications to see the sneakers the company's director Stephen Monaghan keeps on rotation. SANE is a fashion and lifestyle communication and consultancy agency based in London, and Steve is renowned for his knowledge in new and old trends and subcultures.
We gave Steve the challenge of selecting his favorite shoes from a collection of over 70 pairs. In his Sneaker Rotation, Steve mixes classic brands like New Balance and Jack Purcell with statement shoes from visvim. Read on to see why these shoes made the cut.

adidas Originals Stan Smith
The Stan Smith show is a failsafe with anything. When adidas relaunched this style I was over the moon - mainly because the last pair I owned was in ’95. Long live court shoes.

New Balance 576
The best of British is still reigning supreme and continually breaking new ground. These chunky soles makes your feet look smaller which I appreciate immensely being a 10.5/11.

Nike Gyakusou
Jun Takashi is a legend and his collusion with Nike is heaven. Undercover x Nike is damn near perfection - I use these for running and they are the best shoes - they just work. I have also been known to pair them with shorts on a hot day for BBQ dad steez.

Hancock x Jack Purcell
Hancock is a quality classic brand with a modernist attitude hence the collaboration with Converse on this waterproof classic - smart and bang on - they made some tweaks and added the fabric from an eminent house - you can walk across a muddy field and still not feel the water.

visvim FBT Geo Patchwork
The best brand in the world! Hiroki is a genius and this shoe is my ideal shoe / trainer hybrid - the geometric fabric pattern suits my passion for Navajo style and the sole unit is bang on the money.

Converse Woven Jack Purcell
A new interpretation of a perfect shoe and a well considered change that works as a progressive design story - the inner sole is cork. The added detail makes you feel you are wearing an old friend in a new coat

Vans x Snoopy Era
One of my favorite things in the whole world is Peanuts. Snoopy and the gang make me smile eternally - I think there is a piece of each character in everyone. When Vans (another of my "few of my favorite things") released this I bought a pair for myself, my wife and my kid - family is number 1 but Peanuts and Vans are on the rostrum!
