Kobe Bryant’s NBA career may be over, but Nike is hoping that his sneakers will live on for years to come. Accordingly, the brand is gearing up to release the “Carpe Diem” edition of Bryant’s Kobe 11.
The “Carpe Diem” colorway was initially implemented on the Kobe 4, as it is then used as design inspiration for the new release. The hoops kicks feature a black engineered mesh upper, featuring Laker-appropriate hits of purple, yellow and white throughout. Much like the Kobe 4, the 11s also note a black and yellow quilted look on the sockliner. Finally, a translucent sole has been applied underneath to provide the sneaks with an icy effect.
The Nike Kobe 11 “Carpe Diem” ($160 USD) will be releasing on May 21.
