With New York Fashion Week: Men’s in full swing, we wrapped up yesterday’s lineup with Rochambeau’s SS17 catwalk presentation. Alongside its collection, we were excited to discover that the brand teamed up with Nike to debut a brand new silhouette – one month ahead of its scheduled release.
Dubbed the Chalapuka, the running sneaker was first introduced in 2001. Now, 15 years later, Nike has decided to sift through its archives to rework the shoe into a more modern execution. Though still preserving its futuristic aesthetic, the new Chalapuka is a bit less flamboyant than its ancestor. Featuring premium suede details and a crisp all-white sole, the sneakers come in a variety of neutral colorways, such as navy, burnt sienna, sand and black.
Stay tuned for more details about the kicks when they drop next month, but in the meantime, be sure to read about what Lil Durk thought about Rochambeau’s SS17 collection.
