As the cold fall and winter months are upon us, Nike continues to introduce new technology in order to help combat the cooler temperatures. Accordingly, here we take a look at the athletic label’s latest innovations to take on winter. Spanning across both footwear and apparel, updated coatings, new patterns and improved Tech Fleece are all highlighted.

First up, the Swoosh introduces the LunarEpic Flyknit Shield sneaker. The footwear boasts a new water-resistant Flyknit upper and traction-enhancing, laser-siped outsole inspired by the pattern and tread of car tires. The design in turn helps to increase surface area, repel water and further maximize traction.

Next, Nike delivers DWR (durable, water-resistant) coating on its apparel. The coinciding selection of styles is highlighted by thicker Nike Tech Fleece and fuller goose down-filled Nike Aeroloft.

New Quickburst zipper technology has been applied to the NikeLab Gyakusou Zipoff Aeroloft Jacket, enabling the wearer to effortlessly remove the sleeves, transforming the jacket to a vest. The back pocket is also large enough to store the sleeves.

Hyperwarm training gear is available for both men and women, uniting HyperWarm fabric with Aeroloft and Dri-FIT technology to offer warmth without sacrificing breathability.

Lastly, Nike introduces even more cold weather-proper footwear, featuring the likes of the updated Presto and Lupinek, all noting DWR coating.
