Tune in and turn up

Last month, Post Malone released his long-awaited debut album Stoney. This week, Malone stopped by the recording studio of DJ Woo Kid to discuss the making of the record. But while there, he also let slip a pretty huge detail: that he is sitting on a slew of unreleased tracks he wrote with Kanye West.

West and Malone have had a surprisingly fruitful history of collaborating. Malone contributed extensively to The Life of Pablo track “Fade,” a process that is also discussed in the above interview. “‘Fade’ was just a dope vibe, a little funky vibe, so let’s try something new. You never really know what to expect,” he said of the song.

But as to these unreleased demos he wrote with Kanye, who knows what will come of those. In the interview, he says that there are “a couple tracks” originally written for Stoney with Kanye that have yet to see the light of day. Here’s hoping for a B-sides compilation.

In other music news, Anderson .Paak’s band The Free Nationals have hinted that they are on the verge of releasing their debut album. Get the scoop right here.
