Brand: COMME des GARÇONS x Nike ACG

Model: Air Mowabb

Key Features: The sneaker’s suede panels stand in subtle contrast to the Air Mowabb’s neoprene upper, further accentuating the chunky silhouette. Ankle support with ACG branding on its side is present, while the silhouette’s signature chunky midsole and heel counter are, of course, key parts of the design. The sneaker is available in either black or white.

Release Date: Despite the sneakers having already been made available at select retailers such as Dover Street Market and COMME des GARÇONS stores, it looks they are returning for one more round. Among rumors that the pairs would be coming to the Nike SNKRS app in the near future, and an END. Clothing release last week, SSENSE still has limited sizes left.

Price: $290

Buy: SSENSE

Editor’s Notes: After having collaborated on an Air Max 180 earlier this summer, COMME des GARÇONS returned to revamp Nike’s trail-ready Air Mowabb silhouette; one of the most beloved sneakers in its ACG range.

The Air Mowabb is dressed up in what appears to be white micro-suede, with a simple overall design. The Japanese fashion house is clearly letting the sneaker flex its “chunky muscles,” as shapely shoes continue to be popular.

Having already dropped (and sold out) at Barneys New York, the shoe appeared at Dover Street Market on August 3, as well as select CdG stores. A release at END. followed on October 20, before the sneakers were made available on Canadian retailer SSENSE.

Sneakerheads with small feet are in luck, as SSENSE still has several (small) sizes left in stock. Only the black pair is available at the time of writing and is stocked in both men’s and women’s sizes.
