It's been six years since Nike and UNDERCOVER's Jun Takahashi first came together on the debut NikeLab Gyakusou collection, and now the designer has appeared in a new video to share some of his philosophies behind the much-coveted performance range as the forthcoming Winter '16 drop gets nearer.
A standout from the latest collection is the Zipoff Aeroloft jacket, which utilizes Nike Aeroloft technology to retain heat until the body begins to produce its own; when that occurs, excess heat and moisture are driven from the garment through strategically placed laser-cut perforations. Handily, the sleeves on the jacket can also be transformed into a vest by simply removing the zip-off sleeves; a Godsend for runners participating in hot climes. Other highlights include the Gyakusou AeroReact Zip Hoodie, Track Jacket, and FlyVent Shorts.
The NikeLab Gyakusou LunarEpic Flyknit trainer is also incorporated into the pack in yellow and blue colorways. The shoe features a new water-resistant Flyknit upper and traction-enhancing outsole for all-weather performance.
