Despite coming out nearly two years ago, Kanye West's 2016 opus The Life of Pablo has just broken a major new record in the United Kingdom. The album has made history in the country by becoming the first album to achieve Gold status based solely on streaming.

According to the Official Chart Company, Pablo has crossed the 100,000 streams mark in the UK, officially certifying it Gold. As there has yet to be a physical release of the album, with initial streams garnered only via TIDAL before hitting other streaming platforms, it is the first to achieve this distinction by a long shot.
