While Nike's lineage of Air Max shoes are a sneakerhead icon and home to some of the culture's most beloved collaborations, it's easy to forget that Tinker Hatfield's creations were designed as performance running shoes first and foremost. To celebrate the Air Max line's beloved place in both sneaker and running circles, Nike joined forces with two Italian running crews - Milan's R.A.W. and Rome's HolyWolves - to wax lyrical on the sneaker's prominence for Air Max Day.
