Since formalizing their eight-year partnership earlier this year, Nike has already encountered one drastic issue — their NBA jerseys spontaneously ripping.

While they have remedied the problem since, the brands now introduce a special variation of its jerseys with city editions. Rather than fall to home, away and alternate iterations, each Edition has a purpose, celebrating elements of the league’s 30 franchises.

Consisting as the fourth uniform category, which follows up on Association, Icon and Statement Editions — these new designs honor the fans and whose passions help define each respective team’s identity. The Nike NBA City Edition uniforms represent insights and emotion from the court to the cities’ streets, in pursuit of a unique way to capture each team and its city, as well as paying respects to the past and present of the clubs.

All 30 teams in the NBA will receive new City Edition uniforms, with influences coming from a myriad of places, while honoring an important part of their lineage.
