The Nike Waffle Racer was originally introduced in 1974, named after the shape of its breakthrough rubber treads. It was so advanced at the time that an early prototype was made using melted rubber poured into an actual waffle iron. Now, over 40 years later, the Swoosh is back with another fresh update of the silhouette — dubbed the Roshe Raffle Racer.

For FW16, Nike will bring the shoe back in seven different colorways and integrate the sole of the Roshe Run to give the makeover a more modern and contemporary look. A natural-motion midsole has also been added for extra comfort.

The classic "Obsidian" colorway will be available at SNKRS this July for $125. Stay tuned for release dates of the other colors as we have them.
