Run the Jewels, easily the most woke rap duo in the US, just weighed in on some important topics – Kanye West, Trump and grime music. Before wrapping up a short UK tour to promote their album RTJ3, Killer Mike and El-P dropped by Channel 4 News for an interview, which you can watch some choice clips from below.

When asked about Kanye West’s recent meeting with Donald Trump, Killer Mike had this to say – “Black people shouldn’t have permanent friends or enemies, they should have permanent interest.” Later on, El-P sang the praises of Grime – the UK genre that has been steadily gaining mainstream global traction for years. Did you know he collabed with grime legend Dizzee Rascal back in the day? Now you do.

Aside from spreading the gospel of Grime, Run the Jewels were recently announced as Glastonbury Festival headliners, which is happening at the tail end of their international ‘Run The World’ tour.
