From the ground up

The results from the recent Nike MAG auction are in, and according to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Back to the Future sneakers raised an impressive $6.75 million USD for Parkinson’s Research.

The money comes from charity auctions in London and Hong Kong, as individuals purchased $10 USD tickets in hopes of winning a pair of Nike MAGs, and of course to benefit the cause.

According to Tinker Hatfield, “millions” entered the raffle, as the winners of the MAGs were in turn notified via the Nike+ app on October 17.

If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to land a pair, there is still one more chance for the coveted Nike MAGs. The last of the 89 pairs will be auctioned off at The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s benefit gala, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s,” in New York City on November 12.

Not NYC, not LA.
