Complex has today revealed further details of their inaugural ComplexCon — a festival described as the first of its kind that has been conceived with the aim of bringing together pop culture, art, food, style, sports, music and more. The media platform, as you might expect, is going all out for the two-day jamboree's first ever event, with Skrillex booked to headline night one, and none other than Kanye West now being announced to bring the curtain down on night two.
The performance will come just weeks after 'Ye finishes up his much talked-about, floating stage 'Saint Pablo' tour, and homeboys of the rapper including Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Chief Keef and Vigil Abloh (aka DJ Flat White) will join him on the bill. The likes of Metro Boomin, Lil Yachty and Chief Keef will also perform, with the stellar lineup coming as no surprise given the fact Pharrell has signed on in the role of cultural director.
If music is well-represented, then so too is art. Design studio Snarkitecture will create an exclusive installation, and the festival's overarching aesthetic will be shaped by Takashi Murakami. Contemporary artists Ron English and Patrick Martinez are also scheduled to make appearances.
Such an au courant lineup will inevitably attract a fashion-conscious audience, and they'll be well-covered with brands and retailers including Billionaire Boys Club, RSVP Gallery, PUMA, Jason Markk, UNDEFEATED, Bodega, UNION LA, BAIT and Modernica present, while A Bathing Ape and AWGE SHIT — A$AP Rocky's creative collective — will host pop-up spaces.
ComplexCon takes place over November 5-6 with tickets available from the official website.
It's been a busy day for 'Ye. A new image of his green & black YEEZY Boost 350 v2 has also surfaced.
