Earlier in the morning today, it was reported that Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower. Afterwards, Kanye refused to take any questions from the press, but now, apparently he's ready to open up as the rapper has taken to Twitter to explain why he met with Trump.

The series of tweets are Kanye West's first since his recent hospitalization, and his first in two months. Kanye has historically been a supporter of Trump, going as far as to declaring mid-concert in November that he "would've voted on Trump" if he had gone to the polls - a comment that would lead to extensive backlash against the famed rapper.

Kanye ended his tweet spree with "#2024" - a possible indication of him wanting to run for President in 2024 as opposed to the previously mentioned 2020 timeframe.

What are your thoughts on Kanye's relationship with President-elect Trump? Let us know in the comments below.
