Kanye West‘s Sunday Service choir just put a Christian spin on two classic Nirvana tracks, “Come As You Are” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

Altering lyrics to carry holier affiliations, West’s gospel group switched up lines on the Nevermind hits to things like, “Just confess/ he’ll do the rest/ Christ is here” to the tune of “Come As You Are.” They also changed the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” chorus to “Let your light shine, it’s contagious.”

Watch the performance below.

West has long been a Kurt Cobain fan. After all, this is a man who once said, “I’m going down as a legend, whether or not you like me or not. I am the new Jim Morrison. I am the new Kurt Cobain … The Bible had 20, 30, 40, 50 characters in it. You don’t think that I would be one of the characters of today’s modern Bible?”

On this episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by founder and creative director of 18 East Antonio Ciongoli, who gives us some wisdom on how to run an independent label today and talks about his past in menswear. Enjoy.
