Between his unannounced music releases and surprising support for Donald Trump, Kanye West’s recent tweets have set the internet ablaze. In his latest call to action over the weekend, the artist asked users to take part in a task dubbed the “love challenge.”

West tweeted he wanted users to “pick somebody that you had an argument with that you think you hate” and send them a message saying “I love you.”

While such a request should be straightforward, the challenge yielded — perhaps unsurprisingly — some mixed results. Some on the receiving end were happy to be in touch with people they’d not spoken to for a long time, while others appeared disgusted, to say the least.

Naturally, the responses differed accordingly and we’ve compiled a selection of some of the best below.
