After a fresh slab of beef between Marilyn Manson and Justin Bieber was served up last week, Manson addressed the feud in an interview on Tuesday. On Howard Stern’s SiruisXM show, the goth rocker says Bieber got in touch with him after the two made headlines. In case you missed it, Manson revealed that Bieber told him he made him relevant again by featuring Manson's likeness on a T-shirt collaboration with Fear of God, with Manson calling him “a piece of shit” in response to his arrogance.

Manson now explains that Bieber apologized to him after the incident, writing via text message, “I thought we had a pretty pleasant interaction. Also, if anything wasn’t squared away with the T-shirts I’m so sorry.” Adding in another message, “Anyway, regardless, it kind of stung seeing that if I came off as an asshole or was just an asshole I’m sorry.”

Manson accepted the Canadian crooner’s remorse, saying his initial comments were exaggerated. Bieber supposedly went on to text Manson, “Honestly, I totally thought we hit it off,” continuing his apology by saying: “Again, my bad, if I was an asshole that wasn’t my intention. Just want you to know that.”

Turning the heat down, Manson even proposed the two of them team up for a collaboration. “People just made that shirt stuff into a fake feud. Let’s turn it upside-down and fuck the press and do something together,” he told Bieber. "It will be the best. And don’t apologize, you weren’t an asshole. They asked if you were and I sort of agreed. I wasn’t out to get you.”

With Marilyn Manson already set to collab with Lil Uzi Vert, it looks like his next stop in global domination might be the world of mainstream pop.
