Model: Air Zoom Pegasus 36
Key Features: A full-length Zoom Air unit in the midsole, an engineered mesh upper with additional perforations to enhance breathability in high-heat areas such as the forefoot, a slimmer heel collar and tongue to reduce bulk for a more comfortable fit, and exposed Flywire cables to create a snug fit at high speeds.
Release Date: TBC, but expected to be June or July in the US
Editor’s Notes: Nike’s Air Zoom Pegasus, one of the world’s most loved running shoes and trusted by athletes of all standards, is returning with a bevy of new features and a bright green colorway. The new Air Zoom Pegasus 36 was recently unveiled at Nike’s Portland campus, where Highsnobiety got an exclusive first look and the chance to take the shoes for a test run.
Hardcore Pegasus fans will be pleased to hear the shoe’s usual smooth and responsive ride hasn’t been meddled with, and instead the brand has focused on smaller upgrades that improve overall performance. The thinner tongue and heel offer a faster, more race-like feel, while the heel collar now tapers all the way around the achilles.
Stay tuned for the official release date, as well as news of the new Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 and the Zoom Fly 3, coming to Highsnobiety in the coming weeks.
