Nike today unveils its newest women’s collection, dubbed City Ready. From Maria Vu, Senior Creative Director Nike Women’s, and an all-female design team, the nine-piece assortment is meant to take females from work to play.

Encompassing apparel and footwear, the capsule includes bras, crews, pants, and shoes, all empowering the modern woman to always be ready for her workout, without being forced to compromise style. Highlighting the release are an exclusive Pegasus Turbo XX and the Nike City Ready Motion Adapt bra.

“The Nike Pegasus Turbo is our newest pinnacle running innovation,” says Vu. “To make it versatile for her diverse workouts we needed to offer more stability with a collar for ankle support, which was also a good height aesthetically to create a longer-leg effect with the tights. In doing this, we created the Nike Pegasus Turbo XX,.“

The Nike creative director then spoke on the aforementioned bra, adding, “The Nike City Ready Motion Adapt Bra is a great example of our promise. Our challenge was how to take our incredible motion adapt technology, and make it beautiful and really push it through a transformative aesthetic lens without compromising the performance.”

Additional items from the City Ready arsenal include pants with extra-long zippers running down the legs, a crop jacket inspired by vintage ski apparel, an oversized fleece crewneck, and tights.

Shot by female photographer/athlete Paola Kudacki, you can get a look at select City Ready styles above, modeled by Nike athlete Sloane Stephens and NY ballerina/photographer/model Olivia Burgess. The collection launches in Europe September 6 and in North America September 14.
