LeBron James and Nike released the superstar’s 16th signature sneaker this past NBA season, however, it’s a special colorway of the LeBron 15 that made headlines over the weekend. James made an appearance at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball session wearing a pair of Nike LeBron 15s that are directly inspired by the “Net” Nike Air Yeezy 1 from 2009.
The pair, which you can take a detailed look at above, features the same color scheme that Kanye West’s original Nike collaboration did, with a tan upper, pink sock liner, grey detailing, and a midfoot strap.
West’s Nike colorways have been appropriated and remixed multiple times on a number of different Swoosh-clad sneakers. There is no word on whether LeBron was wearing a personal pair, sample, or whether there might be something in the works. Though it seems a bit unlikely that Nike and James will be bringing back last year’s signature sneaker.
