After opening the doors to a bricks-and-mortar location in Berlin earlier this year, English heritage brand Sunspel has tapped their compatriots at Walsh for a premium handcrafted sneaker.
Founded back in 1961, Walsh boasts a heritage of designing footwear for sporting disciplines such as soccer, rugby, fell running and boxing, meaning it knows a thing or two about a comfortable, built-to-last sneaker.
Mixing suede, leather, nylon and rubber soles, Sunspel has chosen a silhouette from the Walsh archive and then updated it by its own modern means. Extra midsole cushioning has been added, as well as Sunspel’s trademark cellular cotton on the lining. Aesthetically, the shoe has been stripped back for a minimal look and is available in gray and white colorways.
