In light of JAY-Z's recent pointed barbs towards his former bestie Kanye West on new album 4:44, it's easy to feel nostalgic for the days when they were full-on bromancing. Let alone the days when Kanye was just an eager producer, happily bouncing around a studio with his mentor making generation-defining music. Luckily, the internet has provided us with a wonderful reminder of said time in the form of a long-lost video of Ye freestyling in-studio. Watch it above.

The footage sees Kanye going bananas over various beats made for JAY, frenetically churning out bars like its his damn job (which in some ways, it was). It also features some fantastic bucket-hat fashions, well before the trend reemerged ironically. "Put my money on it!" JAY yells in the video at Kanye. Sigh, they grow up so fast, don't they?

In related music news, JAY-Z has shared a video for '4:44' single "Bam." Watch it right here.
