Brand: Carhartt WIP x Converse

Model: One Star

Key Features: Coming in three colorways — black, white, olive — the sneaker’s upper is constructed using high durable and abrasion-resistant Cordura fabric. Underlining the shoe’s utilitarian military inspiration, each pair comes with an accompanying hangtag, and military-inspired bandolier heel stay webbing, with D-ring hardware detailing. The tongue logo patch is made using the coated tar material used on the trailer coverings of long-distance trucks.

Release Date: September 20

Price: $110 / €110 / £90

Buy: Converse, Carhartt WIP, and select retailers such as UNKNWN

Editor’s Notes: Since its inception in 1989, Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) has been adopted and championed by a more style-concious audience that sits well outside of the brand’s roots in core workwear.

One such example is the adaptation of military clothing for the streets, which is where this One Star pack draws most of its key features from.

The Cordura fabric upper, accompanying hangtag, and heel stay webbing with hardware detailing all point toward that military-style inspiration and give the sneakers added durability and functionality.

Together, Converse and Carhartt WIP have once again hit the sweet spot between workwear and streetwear while simultaneously giving sneakerheads another dope sneaker drop to look forward to.

All three colorways are set to be released tomorrow, September 20 for a retail price of $110.
