Vans reveals the next chapter of its global brand campaign, This Is Off The Wall, with “Girls Skate India.” The platform essentially highlights a diverse set of stories, shining light on the various forms of creativity, and this year, Vans is taking a closer look at creative communities around the world.
This first installment of the new campaign, “Girls Skate India,” is a captivating and emotional narrative that shows female skateboarders inspiring and empowering the next generation through skateboarding and activities that are often considered unorthodox for girls.
Featuring Vans athletes Lizzie Armanto and Atita Verghese, “Girls Skate India” shows Indian girls gain confidence through skateboarding and highlights how a nontraditional activity provides an outlet for them to express themselves.
To further spread the message of empowering women, Vans will be teaching women and girls how to skateboard through a series of global skate clinics beginning Thursday, March 8, International Women’s Day, with more than 100 skateboarding clinics in major cities like Brooklyn, Chicago, London, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, Bangalore, São Paulo, and Mexico City.
