In the 1970s, Vans issued up the first real skateboarding shoe, the Vans #95, which is now known as the Era. Later, they debuted the Old Skool, the first shoe to show the brand’s iconic stripe detail, originally referred to as a “Jazz” stripe by Paul Van Doren.
