Location: Milan, Italy
Season: Spring/Summer 2018
Key Pieces: Prada didn’t actually do rompers (they’re actually separate tops and shorts styled together) but it did embrace the jumpsuit in all its utilitarian glory. Prada’s side bags were delivered in comic book-inspired colorways as well in more architectural, block-color variations. Of course, the graphic treatment across the collection is standout, as per usual.
Editor’s Notes: In an unlikely move, Miuccia Prada seems to have mined the current cultural zeitgeist of the very-now for inspo, churning out Prada’s own version of the reviled male romper trend. Elsewhere, Prada’s comic book-inspired SS18 collection anchors its superb graphic treatment with a more minimal approach to tailoring.
