A trailer carrying around $1 million USD worth of footwear was stolen in the city of Torrance, California, reports ABC 10 News.
The chassis container trailer was reported missing on August 6 from a business yard and according to officials, police located the trailer two days later but all of its contents had been removed.
While there's no word on which brands were affected, a tipster eventually led detectives to a business in the city of El Monte where $900,000 USD worth of the stolen shoes were recovered.
However, law enforcement agents in Los Angeles are still searching for clues that will help lead them to the thieves.
Anyone who may have information about the crime should contact the LAPD immediately.
