Former Jordan Brand design director Jason Mayden has launched his latest endeavor with a new children’s footwear brand, Super Heroic.

Aimed to encourage kids to dream big and promote the power of play, “I want Super Heroic to be a tool kit that empowers children to become whatever they want to be,” said Mayden, “The core [mission] of Super Heroic is pretty simple: to encourage, enable and enhance pure physical play for every child in the world.”

Debuting its first silhouette with the TMBLR v1, the sneaker is specially designed for the playground and features a seamless interior lining that comfortably molds to the shape of a child’s foot. An adjustable utility strap keeps the foot secure, while also incorporating extra traction on the sides of the sole for better grip while climbing. In addition, a dual-density midsole promotes multi-directional movement, as its offset rubber outsole provides stability on uneven surfaces.

To keep it fun and cool, each pair of shoes are packaged in a shuttle-inspired tube and equipped with a superhero cape so kids can emulate their favorite heroes.

Mayden noted, “It’s high-quality, high-performing, well-designed product, And it’s fun — everything we do has to be fun, from our logo to our colors to our packaging.”

For those of you interested in purchasing a pair for your child, you can pre-order one now from Super Heroic’s website for $99 USD, with expected shipment starting Thursday, August 31, 2017.
