Ahead of his big title fight against Volkan Oezdemir on January 20, UFC Champion Daniel Cormier took some time away from training to go sneaker shopping with Joe La Puma at Sole on Ice in San Jose. While perusing the shelves, Cormier goes into detail about having the best sneakers in the UFC, using Fingerhut to get his first pair of Nikes, and his favorite shoes growing up.

He also discusses his love for the Air Pippen 1 when it first came out, but how they were too expensive for him to ever actually own a pair as a child. "It was the Jordans, it was the Pippens, and Air Max 95s, were always the shoe that everybody kind of wanted them," he explains. The UFC Light Heavyweight champion also spoke about how he wanted to be an NBA player when he was younger, Enzo Amore wrestling in Jordans, and what he thinks about a UFC star getting their own signature shoe.

Ultimately, Cormier went home with his first pair of YEEZYs, as well as a pair of Jordan 5s.
