The insole features a tiger illustration based on a Hawaiian shirt from the Tenue de Nîmes archive. The sneaker comes with three sets of laces: two white and one blue.

Editor’s Notes: Vans has teamed up with Amsterdam retailer Tenue de Nîmes on a special edition Authentic, dropping today. The collaborative sneaker marks Tenue de Nîmes' 10-year anniversary and is limited to 200 pairs.

Tenue de Nîmes founder Menno van Meurs chose naturally fading indigo chambray denim for the sneaker's upper after seeing the cover photo of Hugh Holland's book Locals Only, about the origins of skate culture in California. The cover image is of a shirtless boy squatting on a skateboard, wearing blue jeans and Vans Authentics.

“I couldn't think of a more appropriate way to conclude this great first Tenue de Nîmes decade," says van Meurs. "I've been a fan of these iconic labels from the start. These are the brands to which we partly owe our success.”
