As the man behind the global exposition Sneaker Con, as well as CMO of New York-based consignment shop Stadium Goods, Yu-Ming Wu is very much a connoisseur when it comes to the world of creps.

In his interview with Highsnobiety, Wu breaks down why the Nike Air Max 1 Atmos “Safari” is his favorite pair. “I’m blessed that this is the shoe that started it all”, he said – noting that he has three in his collection. After collecting that first pair while at student at Parsons Design School, Wu has since amassed an incredible collection, featuring the likes of KAWS x Air Jordan 4, BAPE x adidas Originals, Supreme x Nike Air Uptempo and “the ultimate grail” – the Nike Air Mag.

Wu also credits the YEEZY Boost 350 “Turtledove” for “introducing Moms and Grandmas to sneaker culture” in addition to discussing the importance of exhibiting his sneaker collection in Hong Kong.

In case you missed it, Highsnobiety attended the Vetements x DHL pop-up in Hong Kong.
