From the ground up

Steph Curry’s latest signature shoe for Under Armour, the Curry Two Low “Chef,” has been mocked by sneakerheads far and wide for its proto-normcore aesthetic. Basically, the shoe looks like something your dad might wear on the weekend — and the sneaker community hasn’t been shy in voicing its disdain (or just straight up amusement) at the shoe’s awkward aesthetic.

With that in mind, GQ took to the streets of New York to get some opinions on the shoe from some of the Big Apple’s fathers. Unsurprisingly, the dads of NYC were into it. Watch the above video for a variety of fathers waxing lyrical on the shoe’s attractive looks, light weight and cushioned ride. “I’d wear it with a suit” exclaims one of the clip’s interviewees.
