Editor’s Notes: ALES GREY has created a luxury sneaker for a very good cause “after noticing a philanthropy gap in the luxury market.” With that in mind, ALES GREY decided to contribute a portion of all sales to support the Inner-City Arts organization, which takes an active role in giving back to children in need in the Los Angeles area.

“My goal with this collection was to create ‘luxury with a purpose,’ and my purpose in life is to give back and help others through my love of sneakers,” said creator and industry veteran “Sneaker Steve” Patiño. The collection draws from the designer's childhood, "Battalion" being the name of the rec center where he played basketball as a youth in Queens.

For its debut campaign, the brand tapped New York-based model, artist and stylist Bloody Osiris. The 23-year-old has been seen on the runways as well as behind the scenes assisting the likes of Virgil Abloh.
